Projects

In addition to the Marine Life Center and our popular seasonal programs, Harbor WildWatch manages several marine education and community projects along the Salish Sea.

Science Monitoring

The health of our shared land and living inhabitants depends on gathering good data. We gather that data with 10+ programs, in partnership with many collaborators across the Pacific Northwest — including folks like you.

Environmental Sanctuary

We are the stewards of the Harbor Hill Environmental Sanctuary—a 15-acre nature sanctuary in the Harbor Hill neighborhood. It’s a new place to slow down, look closer, and learn outside, right in north Gig Harbor.

Storm Drain Art

Turns storm drains into eye-catching conversation starters about clean water. Local artists created site-specific sidewalk murals around storm drains across Gig Harbor to remind us that everything entering these drains flows straight to the Salish Sea—impacting salmon, octopus, and the entire nearshore ecosystem.
