Summer Sounds- Touch Tanks in the Park

Come join in on the fun of Summer Sounds in Skansie Brothers Park while educating the community about the sea life that lives in the Salish Sea!

Every Tuesday through August, a different music group will be playing in Skansie Brothers Park:

July 8: The Mixed Tape, a local band playing classic rock, country, pop and R&B. Band members include singer/guitar player Marc Johnson, singer/guitar player Joey Niemann, drummer Cameron Smith and bass player/singer Kyle Uecker.

July 15: Gimme Shelter, as you can probably tell from the name, is a Rolling Stones tribute band that regularly plays shows around the Northwest.

July 22: DJ Mia Maya, a Seattle-based DJ.

July 29: Joel Gibson Jr., an independent Northwest country and rock artist who has opened for stars like Trace Atkins, Joe Nichols and more.

Aug. 5: Flock of 80s, which describes itself as a synth pop/new wave cover band. Expect to hear songs originally performed by Duran Duran, The Cure, Depeche Mode, David Bowie, INXS and more.

Aug. 12: Kalimba, an Earth, Wind and Fire tribute group.

Aug. 19: 90s Rewind, a Seattle-based band playing the hits of the 1990s. The band covers songs by Alanis Morrissette, Stone Temple Pilots, The Cranberries, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and more.

Aug. 26: The Infinity Project, which describes itself as “The Northwest’s Premier Journey Cover Band.”

Look for the blue Harbor WildWatch canopy on the dock and come meet some popular Salish Sea life during the music. Our knowledgeable and friendly biologists and volunteer naturalists will guide you through a hands-on exploration of the incredible diversity of marine life that calls our local waters home. Learn. Have Fun.
