Digital Cocktails & Fishtales – Celebrate What’s Good in the World

Celebrate What’sGood in the World

We’re excited to wrap up the2021 Cocktails & Fishtales season with a photographic experience sharing, “CelebrateWhat’s Good in the World”. Alan Bauer Photography specializes in covering thenatural history of the great Pacific Northwest.  Alan loves sharing hismessage through photographs; no matter what the situation, there is ALWAYSsomething around us worth celebrating, but sometimes you do have to look a lotmore closely and slow down to find it. Take some time and enjoy looking at theoften overlooked world around us.

Bio: Alan Bauer

Istrongly believe that no subject of nature, from a great bull elk in the fallrut all the way down to a small patch of macro-lichen, is worthy of anypotentially disrupting or damaging action for the purpose of “getting thephotograph”.  I have many times turned my back from a potentiallyspectacular photographic opportunity for this very reason: I value letting mymemory appreciate something from our natural world just as much as I do incapturing it on film!

Cocktails & Fishtales is Harbor WildWatch’s science-social series. Held monthly, these programs feature a scientist, researcher, or environmental artist on an ecological topic. While these programs are traditionally 21+ and held at a local taproom or venue, during the pandemic they have shifted to an online format for all ages. They continue to serve as an engaging and interactive way to learn about the environment, and bring together eco-enthusiasts from our local community… and, now, beyond. Questions and interaction are highly encouraged!

Cocktails & Fishtales are educational events. As such, Harbor WildWatch does not endorse any speaker, service, or product represented at Cocktails & Fishtales.
