Digital Cocktails & Fishtales – See the salmon, see the trees, see how your PCD protects the land and the sea!

See the salmon, see the trees, see how your PCD protects the land and the sea!

Join the New executive director of the Pierce Conservation District to see how the district can help you protect our local salmon habitat!

Dana Coggon joined the District in February 2022. Her passion is connecting people to the places they love and inspiring all to value the natural wonders of our region. Before coming to PCD, Dana spent 15 years as the Director of the Kitsap County Noxious Weed control board, where she worked directly with landowners to establish healthy ecosystems. At the District she supports staff to educate and inspire community members to be innovative environmental stewards. As she does this, she works hard to create a team environment of equity and inclusion. Dana plans to continue to build on the excellent work done by the District to support community-driven solutions to our most pressing environmental challenges, and is excited to implement the 2021-2025Strategic Plan. I believe when we take care of our land and water ways, we also contribute to the health of people, our communities, and our economy. – Dana Coggon

Cocktails & Fishtales is Harbor WildWatch’s science-social series. Held monthly, these programs feature a scientist, researcher, or environmental artist on an ecological topic. While these programs are traditionally 21+ and held at a local taproom or venue, during the pandemic they have shifted to an online format for all ages. They continue to serve as an engaging and interactive way to learn about the environment, and bring together eco-enthusiasts from our local community… and, now, beyond. Questions and interaction are highly encouraged!

Cocktails & Fishtales are educational events. As such, Harbor WildWatch does not endorse any speaker, service, or product represented at Cocktails & Fishtales.
